Returning the iconic X-Men character in cinemas, Hugh Jackman will be back as Wolverine in the third sequel of Deadpool in 2024. Leading the announcement of the actor’s comeback, Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, shared the exciting news with his fans online. 

According to the actor, he has been working hard for the next Deadpool film because it’s his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He had to take his time and prepare his mind and soul as he immersed himself in the new chapter in the character’s journey. “We need to stay true to the character, find new depth, motivation, meaning,” Reynolds said. Breaking the serious monologue, the actor also shared that despite trying to “reach down inside” and have some in-depth self-exploration, he still ended up with ‘nothing.’ As described by the actor, “I have nothing. Yeah, just completely empty up here. And terrifying.”

After this dramatic speech, Hugh Jackman walked in the background, and in the most authentic Deadpool way, Reynolds nonchalantly asked him if he wanted to play Wolverine one last time. The actor agreed as he casually strolled upstairs. 

The video ended with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” changing the subtitles from “You” to “Hugh.”The Deadpool logo also appeared at the end credits and was slashed by the claws of Wolverine.

The epic announcement received positive feedback from fans was raved online. 

On September 6, 2024, Deadpool 3 will make its way to cinemas.
