Halloween 2020: Here are online events for your spooky night celebration!
By Jhoemz Vercide 30 Oct 2020 876

Pandemic happened, and here we are, missing our much-awaited traditional holiday festivities. Halloween this year will adopt the new normal set-up—no costume parties, gatherings, and trick or treat activities.

Our 2020 Spooky celebration will be limited to the four corners of our homes as strict health protocols implemented by authorities are still on the go. Thankfully, the internet, again for the nth time, saves our day to enjoy or at least commemorate the holidays.

Here are some events heading online to let you still feel the Halloween vibe spirit while staying safe indoors this year:

ONE NIGHT IN INTRAMUROS TOUR

Yup, you’ll be missing ghost hunting and spooky night tours to some of the most haunted places in the Metro in person, but “One Night in Intramuros Tour” will virtually take you in on alleged horrors that happen within the city’s eerie walls.

With Intramuros’ scary tales and haunting feels, WanderManila will bring the action straight to your homes. The team will discover stories and anecdotes about Intramuros that many may have never heard before.

In a Facebook post, the team will tell the stories based on historical accounts.

“Intramuros has its fair share of dark stories, some of which have allegedly resulted in ghost sightings and other manifestations within the Walled City. Tales of ambition and greed, of broken promises and crimes of passion, of widespread death and destruction, we have it all,” the post reads.

The One Night in Intramuros Tour will not be live-streamed from Intramuros itself, a presenter will be narrating at home with multimedia aid like videos, pictures, and music to set the atmosphere in the event.

The online tour will start at 9 p.m. on October 30, 2020, on WanderManila’s Facebook page, and it’s completely free!

HUHSMILE’S THE DEAD MIGHT BE LISTENING EVENT

Lit your candles and turn the lights off as Huhsmile will scare you to death with an online Halloween storytelling event.

Your spooky celebration this year might not be exciting as it was before, but, “The Dead Might Be Listening” event is just perfect for some creeps you’re longing for.

Guests will share their personal supernatural experiences with different content creators, and a neo-pagan and divination practitioner named Cat who will give insights about the occurrences.

Catch this online event on Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. over Discord and YouTube live stream.

HAUNTING AT THE PALACE

Looking for a light and chill Halloween celebration? Here’s “The Haunting at The Palace” at Xylo in a dystopian future set-up on the eve of the spooky day.

Made possible by Globe and Chivas, the premier club of The Palace Manila will be transformed into a haunted, deserted space complete with actors and sets to complete the eerie feel of the show.

The online event will be live-streamed on The Palace’s official YouTube and Facebook pages on October 31 from 10 pm onwards.

How about you, what are your plans to celebrate your Halloween?
