Check-out these five K-dramas to watch this April

On the hunt of the next Korean drama that you’ll binge watch on? Or are you a newbie who’s yet to fall in love with a series…or a character? Either way, you’ve just landed on the right platform that will urge you to watch the latest Korean hit this April! In this article, we have collated five k-dramas that are lined up to be released this month. So even If you feel like you will never have enough time to start another series, we bet that you’ll think twice after seeing the rundown of the dramas that will soon premiere this month!

 

  1. TOMORROW

Tomorrow is an upcoming 16-episode South Korean drama with a mix of action, drama & fantasy and is based on a webtoon under the same name. The series would revolve around the story of Choi Jun-eun, who got involved in an accident while struggling to find a job, met two angels of death, Goo Ryun & Lim Ryung Goo, whose objective is to save suicidal people. Eventually, Choi Jun-eun, the male lead, became the youngest member of the team. The series was directed by Kim Tae-Yoon & Sung Chi-Wook. ‘Tomorrow’ will star Kim Seok Woo, who was last seen in the Korean drama, ‘The King’s Affection’, and Kim Hee Sun to which she will appear as the main lead female actress as Gu Ryeon who is the chief of the crisis management team. The first installment of the series is expected to be released on the 1st of April, with the airing schedule of Friday & Saturday.

 

  1. MONSTROUS

If you are into horror-thrill-kind-of-series, then this one's for you. Starring Shin Hyun-been, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kwak Do-yeon, Park Hosan, Kim Ji-young, Monstrous is a story about the archaeologists in pursuit of finding the reality behind a strange supernatural phenomena. Jung Ki-Hoon & Lee Soo-Jin, who used to be a couple, both went to Jinyang County, where they both experienced bizarre and fearful encounters. Lee Soo-Jin then searches for the answers behind the mystery. This series is composed of 6 episodes, which will be aired starting on April 29 in the direction of Jang Kun-jae.

 

  1. SHOOTING STARS

On a lighter note, Shooting Stars is a series with a mix of drama, romance and comedy. It is made to show the real deal in the entertainment industry. Not only will it be about the stars and celebrities, but it will also portray the people behind the camera, such as managers, PR members and others who have outworked themselves just to make celebrities shine. This 16-episode series is directed by Lee Soo Hyun, starring Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae, and Yoon Jong Hoon as the main characters. Shooting Stars is expected to have its premiere on the 22nd day of the month.

 

  1. IT’S BEAUTIFUL NOW

‘It’s a beautiful now’ follow the story of three brothers that does not desire to date or marry. Their parents & grandparents are all concerned about their indifference for marriage. Therefore, they decided to make an offer to the brothers that the first brother to marry will receive an apartment from them. And so, each of the brothers decided to look for a woman that they will marry. This interesting story about drama, family & romance is directed by Kim Seong-geun which wil star Yoon Shi-yoon, Bae Da-bin, Oh Min-suk. The target date of its debut is on April 2, with 50 episodes that is expected to be aired until September of 2022.

 

  1. OUR BLUES

And of course, Our Blues cannot not-make it on our list! As published days ago, Our Blues will star one of the most loved Kdrama actors, Kim Woo Bin with his real-life partner Shin Min ah, together with other veteran actors Lee Byung-hun, Cha Seung-won & Ha Ji-min. This Korean drama is an omnibus type that follows the lives of a variety of people who reside on Jeju Island. This drama depicts the bittersweet relationship of people who are strangely linked to one another. With 20 episodes, ‘Our Blues’ is expected to premiere on April 9, with airing time every Saturday and Sunday.
