After a huge success in the first season, the hit thriller zombie series All of Us are Dead will be returning for a second season after Netflix's renewal.
The story of the first season follows a group of highschool students who are fighting for survival after a professor scientist's experiment to save his deceased son went wrong that led to the creation of a virus. A student was bitten by a hamster who was part of the experiment. Despite the effort of restraining the student who was bitten, the school found out about her and brought her to the clinic to nurse her condition which eventually started off the entire season. Students and faculties turned into 'zombies' and the entire school was wrecked. A few who were lucky enough did everything to stay alive.
According to Netflix, All of Us are Dead charts around the world as one of the biggest and most watched series. It is also one of two Korean shows that entered Netflix's Top 10 most popular non-English TV shows aside from Squid Game.
"After its premiere, All of Us Are Dead shot straight into the top 10 most watched non-English TV series in a staggering 91 countries, and stayed there for two consecutive weeks. It also drew 361.03 million viewing hours in its first 10 days, with members kept on the edge of their seats rooting for the Hyosan High juniors over the 12 episodes." they added.
In a post by Netflix Korea on Instagram, they confirmed that the series will be coming back alive for a second story.
There is no official date of confirmation for the second season release.
